Spearhead Implications:
Possibly applicable for 3rd US Army only...comparable tables for other formations not available. These numbers were probably also altered in the field and might serve only as a guideline. Use below as "House Rules" if desired.
1) US Artillery of 4.5", 8", and 240mm sizes may not normally lay smoke.2) The 4.2" mortar has half it's fire missions as smoke.3) Other artillery gets one smoke fire mission per 7 available missions (15%)4) Antiaircraft artillery should probably only get one shot per game as Antitank. Their ammunition is overwhelmingly HE. They also have no smoke.5) Note the difference in the ammunition percentages of the Halftrack-mounted 81mm mortar depending on assignment to infantry or armor. Adjust number of smoke rounds accordingly.6) Combat engineers were not normally equipped with flamethrowers.
